These aren't pulled from a retailer feed or a press release. The Best Deals engine watches every price observation we record, and surfaces products whose current price is genuinely unusual compared to their own history — across every merchant we track.
Fortune Score measures price attractiveness against a product's own recorded history. Product Score is the editorial quality rating. The two are never blended — a great price on a mediocre product is still a mediocre buy. How scoring works
The engine never guesses a score — a product needs 3+ recorded observations before it can be judged against its own history. These are being factored in right now (community finds, tracked products, feed imports); several will graduate to machine finds within days.
